How often should an office actually be cleaned?

The right cleaning frequency depends on three factors: the number of workstations, the occupancy and the presentation level you want. A rule of thumb: up to 10 workstations 1-2x per week suffices, between 10 and 25 workstations 2-3x per week, and above that daily cleaning is almost always worthwhile.

Sanitary areas and pantries deserve extra attention: ideally they are included in every visit, and with high occupancy even daily — hygiene in those places determines how clean your entire office feels.
